Share your achievements

Celebrate your ITA certification, membership status, or learning milestone in a way that is accurate, professional, and easy to verify.

This page provides practical guidance for sharing achievements across LinkedIn, resumes, email signatures, biographies, and other public professional channels. The purpose is not only visibility, but also clarity, credibility, and consistency with professional standards.

Share achievements in line with professional standards

Professional recognition should be presented accurately. Do not imply a qualification, designation, or standing that has not been awarded, verified, or is no longer current.

Digital badges and verification links

Where available, digital badges and verification links are the clearest way to show an ITA achievement online.

  • Use the official badge or verification link provided through your account.
  • Share a badge link when posting on LinkedIn, portfolio pages, or member biographies.
  • Check that the credential name, date, and status shown publicly match your current record.
  • If your status changes, update previously published achievement details where appropriate.

Add your achievement on LinkedIn

LinkedIn is often the first place employers, partners, and peers check when reviewing professional milestones.

  1. 01 If your achievement permits it, add the awarded designation or membership status using the approved wording only.
  2. 02 Use the Featured section to add your badge or credential verification link.
  3. 03 Add the achievement to Licenses & Certifications using the exact credential title and issue date.
  4. 04 If relevant, include the level completed, but do not suggest a partial award as though it were a full designation.
  5. 05 Do not include an expected award date or claim status that has not yet been granted.

Resume, CV, and professional biography

Achievement language should be factual, concise, and aligned with your current status.

  • Awarded certifications may be listed in the certifications or education section with the issue year where appropriate.
  • Current members may reference active membership status only if it is current and verifiable.
  • Candidates or participants should describe the level completed or current participation factually.
  • Lapsed or expired achievements should not be presented in a way that implies current standing.

Social media, email signatures, and public profiles

Short-form channels still need accurate representation.

  • Do not place ITA achievements into usernames or handles in a misleading way.
  • Do not use ITA logos or brand marks as though they were personal credentials unless expressly permitted.
  • Use wording that identifies the achievement clearly without exaggeration.
  • If space is limited, prefer a verified link or a short factual description rather than ambiguous abbreviations.

Common restrictions to keep in mind

  • Do not claim a designation, level, or status before it has been officially awarded.
  • Do not imply endorsement by ITA of a person, employer, service, or commercial offering.
  • Do not continue displaying a status as current if membership, certification, or standing has expired or changed.

Important notice

This guidance is intended to support accurate professional representation. Final eligibility, current standing, and permitted wording depend on your verified ITA record and any applicable standards or trademark guidance.
